For the 2016 model year, the Lincoln MKX is going to get significant style and technology improvements as well as a new, optional 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, but we think what our customers at Mountaineer Lincoln will be even happier to hear about is that despite the upgrades, the upcoming MKX will actually be cheaper than the current model.
The luxury automaker has announced that the 2016 MKX would start at $38,995 after an $895 destination charge, which is exactly $800 less than the $39,795 that the 2015 model would set you back. It’ll come with an impressive number of individual options, including full LED headlights, a full suite of safety tech, all-wheel-drive, and the aforementioned EcoBoost V6.
Though Lincoln currently lists three trim levels on its site, including the Premiere, Select, and Reserve, we also expect a Black Label version to come along later to add even more lavishness to the already luxurious MKX. All in all, it looks like the 2016 Lincoln MKX’s price drop will pay off!
