Next-Generation Lincoln Navigator Debuts in New York

The previous generation of the Lincoln Navigator had been in production for a decade, making it a prime candidate for getting a total makeover. Experts and enthusiasts alike knew a fresh take on the nameplate was in the works when a Navigator Concept made its way to the New York Auto Show stage last year. For the 2018 model year, however, Lincoln debuted the next-generation Lincoln Navigator at this year’s New York event.

Lincoln dropped a teaser of the new Navigator ahead of the show on April 10th, with a shadowy image depicting the 2018 model’s darkened silhouette illuminated by brilliant headlights. The auto show reveal showed off even more goodies: a flashy new chrome grille and cool new wheels. From the puddle lamp that illuminates the ground under the front doors as the driver approaches to the totally revamped interior, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator was clearly designed with next-level luxury in mind.

A host of new and innovative technology will be available in the next-generation Lincoln Navigator, including a Wi-Fi hotspot that can support 10 devices and the SYNC 3 system. A new twin-turbo V6 will deliver 450 HP when mated to Ford’s 10-speed transmission.

We at Mountaineer Lincoln are very excited for when the production 2018 Navigator comes to our dealer lot.

Lincoln Unveils the Lincoln Navigator Concept

When it comes to luxury SUVs, Lincoln practically invented the category. For years, Lincoln has introduced drivers to some of the most luxurious SUVs on the road. Lincoln is now prepared to introduce drivers to the future of luxury vehicles.

According to a recent Lincoln press release, Lincoln unveiled its Lincoln Navigator Concept.

The Navigator Concept represents the future of not only the Lincoln brand, but the entire category of luxury SUVs. The Navigator is set to include a sleek exterior and an interior that is customizable so as to meet the needs of any kind of driver.

“The all-new Navigator Concept reinforces our commitment to give every Lincoln client what we call quiet luxury – vehicles and experiences that are elegant, effortlessly powerful and serene,” said Kumar Galhotra, president of Lincoln. “This kind of quiet luxury sets Lincoln apart. Now, we’re showing fans of large SUVs how we can exceed their expectations, without being the loudest statement on the road.”

We look forward to when the Lincoln Navigator is no longer just a concept, but rather the next vehicle in the Lincoln family!

Lincoln Navigator Awarded 2015 Vincentric Best Value in America Award

If you’re looking for a great vehicle at a fair price—that doesn’t sacrifice space and luxury—then look no further than the 2015 Lincoln Navigator. This popular premium SUV was a recent recipient of the 2015 Vincentric Best Value in America Award, a prestigious accolade that recognizes the Navigator for its low cost-to-own status and top-notch luxury.

To determine the winner of the Vincentric Best Value in America Award, the Vincentric company analyzes the current market price of vehicles, plus each vehicle’s total cost of ownership. This data is then used to determine the best choices in each segment. The 2015 Lincoln Navigator was recognized in the Premium Large SUV segment, adding this award to other honors, including The Car Book’s 2015 Best Bets and a 5-star Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Lincoln Navigator Named to The Car Book’s 2015 Best Bets

The latest Lincoln Navigator has been named among The Car Book’s 2015 Best Bets, demonstrating its reliability and ability to keep occupants safe in all situations.

The award is based on analysis of new vehicles in nine important categories, including crash tests, safety features, rollover, preventative maintenance, repair costs, warranty, fuel economy, complaints, and insurance.

The awards are granted by The Car Book in conjunction with The Center of Auto Safety and place a high emphasis on safety, by automatically counting out vehicles that haven’t received outstanding crash ratings. In government testing, all configurations of the 2015 Navigator earned the highest-possible five-star Overall Vehicle Score, adding to the lineup of safe vehicles at Mountaineer Lincoln.

The SUV also stood out thanks to its new, refined exterior design, best-in-class towing capability, superior second-row headroom and legroom, and the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine. With 380 ponies to back it and mileage that earns up to 22 mpg on the highway, the Navigator is not only more powerful than it has ever been before, but also more efficient than its competitors!

New Lincoln Navigator Posts Top Safety Rating in New Assessment

The Lincoln Navigator has always been an imposing and impressive vehicle, with a hulking sculpted frame and a massive interior. The 2015 model can add something else to that resume, too: a top safety rating from the NHTSA’s New Car Assessment Program. The five-star overall vehicle score is the highest rating given out by the NHTSA, and the Navigator achieved that level with ease, just as it achieves top marks in every other area.

Technologies like Blind Spot Information System and AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control complement the plethora of air bags in the vehicle. Plus, it also features the SOS Post-Crash Alert System, a cross-traffic alert system, and much, much more.

“The 2015 Navigator combines the highest possible safety rating from the federal government with a fresh interpretation of the classic full-size luxury sport utility vehicle,” said Steve Kenner, global director, Ford Automotive Safety Office. “From its more refined appearance and luxurious interior appointments to its advanced safety systems and driver-assist features, the 2015 Navigator is what our customers asked for.”

The safety features aren’t the only things to love in the new Navigator. Lincoln Reports Impressive Sales Growth for 2014

Whether it was Matthew McConaughey in our new favorite commercials, or the introduction of the high-end Lincoln Black Label, or the launch of Lincoln’s first-ever MKC, the year 2014 was a good one for the automaker. Reports showed Lincoln experienced impressive sales growth throughout the busy year.

“Lincoln built momentum in 2014 – our new products and advertising campaigns have been warmly received,” said Kumar Galhotra, Lincoln president. “We launched the brand in China, and are off to a promising start.”

The brand’s North American retail sales totaled 94,474 vehicles, a 16 percent increase over last year’s retail sales and the best yearly sales the brand has seen since 2008.

The all-new MKC played a large role in boosting Lincoln’s sales, with over 2,000 sales in the last quarter of 2014. Sales of the MKZ yielded an increase of 5% over the number posted in 2013, and the Lincoln Navigator continued the growth with a 21% increase in sales over the previous year.

For us at Mountaineer Lincoln, we look forward to seeing how the brand continues to grow throughout the year as Lincoln reaches old customers and new conquests with its quality products and customer service.

Why the 2015 Navigator is an Ideal Choice for Winter Driving

Winter weather is enough to make even the most hardened driver cringe. Slick roads and hidden ice can make even the most routine excursion a dangerous game of change, and only the right combination of knowledge and a well-equipped vehicle can allow for something approaching control on the roads.

Fortunately, if you’re thinking about upgrading to the 2015 Lincoln Navigator, we here at Mountaineer Lincoln would like to offer a bit more incentive: the Navigator is an ideal choice for winter driving.

Not only is the 2015 Navigator available in four-wheel drive, but its 3.5-liter Twin-Turbo EcoBoost® V6 makes it exceptionally capable of dealing with even the toughest roads. With the EcoBoost V6, the Navigator puts down an impressive 380 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, meaning that snow is an easily-bested challenge.

Also key to the Navigator driving experience is Lincoln Drive Control, which uses continuously controlled damping to adjust the suspension quickly and protect against the potential damage brought about by hazards such as potholes.

And if you should find yourself in an unfortunate situation, SYNC® with MyLincoln Touch™ can utilize 911 Assist® to notify emergency officials, and you can use an available Wi-Fi hotspot to get the word out that you are safe and sound.

This doesn’t even begin to touch the various luxurious appointments and touches that make the 2015 Navigator the apex of the premium SUV experience. To get the full scoop, you’ll have to come down to Mountaineer Lincoln and try one out for yourself.

The 2015 Lincoln Navigator will offer exceptional passenger space, best-in-class towing capability (when properly equipped), a smooth ride, precise handling, and improved fuel economy – all for thousands less than its competitors. The full-size SUV will go on sale later this year with a starting price of $62,475.

“The 2015 Lincoln Navigator provides many upgrades over the outgoing model, offering customers – whether loyal Navigator owners or drivers new to the brand – new and compelling reasons to consider driving a Navigator,” said Matt VanDyke, director, global Lincoln, in a recent news release.

This year’s Navigator will see a new, split-wing grille, refined lines, a newly designed hood, 20-inch ultra-bright machined aluminum wheels, and a power liftgate. The exterior also boasts 222 LEDs – illuminating the SUV in a unique way and adding distinct personality.
