Lincoln Motor Company Philanthropy Exceeds $6.2 Million

Through its campaign Driven to Give, Lincoln Motor Company philanthropy has exceeded $6.2 million, with $1.5 million raised in the last year alone. Driven to Give began in 2011 to help Lincoln dealers support their communities by teaming up with non-profit organizations.

This fall, Lincoln will use the all-new 2017 Lincoln Continental to support its charity efforts, with participation in Driven to Give building with anticipation for the upcoming Lincoln lineup. Lincoln dealers host a one-day event where they agree to donate $20 for every participant who test drives a new Lincoln. Lincoln even has a way for customers to earn a bonus donation for up to $40 per participant.

Lincoln works with schools and local organizations to host Driven to Give events. This lets them not only donate money but build relationships with these organizations, become personally involved in the community, and get to know potential Lincoln drivers.

One of the organizations benefitted by Driven to Give is Magical Meadows, a therapeutic horse riding facility that in Indiana that helps children and people with developmental disabilities to use horse riding as a way to exercise, relax, and gain self-confidence.

The Lincoln Continental will be eligible this fall, and this year’s bonus vehicle is the Lincoln MKZ, while last year’s was the MKX.

Lincoln and Matthew McConaughey Combine Forces for Charity

You probably know that Matthew McConaughey is an Oscar-winning actor, or at least that he loves to drive a Lincoln, based on his now-famous Lincoln advertisements. But did you know that he and his wife started their own charity?

It’s called the “just keep livin Foundation,” and they aim to empower students by “providing them with the tools to lead active lives and make healthy choices for a better future.”

The cause is one that Lincoln believes in, and according to an announcement made earlier this month, you can work with Lincoln directly to benefit the charity. The automaker recently explained that donations from their “Driven to Give” program will go the Foundation.

Driven to Give involves testing out new Lincoln models by allowing average consumers to drive them around. These events raise money for charities and various causes – the latest being the just keep livin Foundation.

We’re glad to see what the Lincoln and Matthew McConaughey friendship has created. Keep your eyes peeled for a Driven to Give event near you, and check out the just keep livin Foundation here at their website.
